This is the story of a daughter who has been dominated by her mother. However, it is not a story of hatred.

Akiko, the daughter, has lived under her mother’s control, constantly pushed to strive and succeed. Even in her 30s, she continues to live while gauging her mother’s reactions, with no hesitation in falsifying her own feelings to keep the peace. But one night, when her lie about landing a job at a major trading company—a position her mother had desired for her—threatens to unravel, the emotions she had buried deep within suddenly surface. This suspenseful tale portrays the sorrow of a daughter who, even after her mother’s physical presence fades, cannot escape her psychological grip.
