Meet a man in business suits. He appears stressed with work and other daily nuisances. One day, he goes to a concert on a whim. What he sees there triggers him to reveal everything accumulated inside him and transforms him to a human being.

Director: Lyousuke Saitoh (born 1995) is a performance artist with 20 million views. He specializes in visualizing the sound, and creates a mysterious sphere using slow motion and contemporary dance elements. He has appeared in many MVs including “Kankaku Piero” and “Paledusk.” He has performed internationally in Los Angeles, Australia, and Korea. He is also active as a painter, and mesmerized European art goers when he exhibited his paintings and performances at the Louvre Museum in 2022.

We started this call-for-entry program in 2020 to support the emerging creators from Japan. This is our 3rd Japanese Short Program. For this round, we have selected three films among 42 entries. We keep them viewable for free because we want as many people as possible to watch them. But we’d really appreciate if you could share your feedback to the films to support the up-and-coming filmmakers.
